Gerry Donovan attended the St. John's Preparatory School in Danvers, Massachusetts.  He graduated with the class of 1986 and is an active participant in the Alumni Association. Throughout his years at St. John's, Gerry competed on the varsity cross country and track teams.

Following his graduation, Gerry attended Stonehill College in Easton, Massachusetts and graduated with the class of 1990. He was involved in both athletic and philanthropic activities at Stonehill.  Gerry was the co-captain of the cross country team and the president of the Ames Society. The Ames Society is an on-campus organization which works to foster the spirit and unity of the student body by devoting its time and resources serving the communities that neighbor Stonehill College.

Immediately after receiving his degree from Stonehill in 1990, Gerry Donovan joined Northwestern Mutual and has strived to provide his clients with the assurance and support necessary to help fulfill and accommodate their financial needs.   August 2015 was Gerry's 25 year anniversary with Northwestern Mutual.

Gerry has earned the Certified in Long Term Care (CLTC) designation and in 2014 earned his CLU® designation.

The Certified in Long Term Care (CLTC designation is a program independent of the insurance and financial industry and focuses on providing financial professionals the tools they need to meet their clients' long term care needs.  The CLTC program provides a comprehensive education on the subject of extended care planning which intersects with other professions such as financial planning, tax law, home care, government funding, and elder law.

Gerry holds his Series 6, 7, 63, and 65 licenses.
